What we are hearing...
I had a conversation recently with a woman in her 70s who shared that she had suffered similar abuse throughout her childhood. Until hearing my story, she had never shared it with anyone. She told me she wished a book like this had been written years ago.
I was humbled to learn about a woman who commented that the book "changed her life". That's the reason we wrote it, so that God could use it as an encouragement to women who suffered abuse.
After reading the book, a friend purchased 10 more books to give to family members. Hearing stories like this is so encouraging! Our desire is that God will use the book to touch people's lives and help them overcome their pasts.
We are learning that age has no limits on the impact of the book. A 95-year-old friend shared with me that the book made her cry, as she thought of the abuse her mother suffered through much of her life. She also shared that the book encouraged her that with God's help, a difficult past can be overcome.
